Welcome!

Hi, I’m Jared Polis, Democratic candidate for US Congress from Colorado’s second Congressional District.

All Americans deserve a strong foundation of opportunity that enables them to succeed and realize their dreams. I have a track record of innovation in the public and private sectors and will bring new ideas to our federal government and introduce out-of-the-box solutions to address the challenges our country faces.

We succeed or fail together as a nation, and we need to respect our differences, value our diversity, and empower our communities so that we can move forward together and end the conflict in Iraq, eliminate poverty, provide quality affordable health care to all Americans, grow the economy with high-paying jobs, and ensure opportunity and hope for future generations. I will bring integrity and dedication to Washington DC and would be honored to work hard for you in the next US Congress.

Please consider volunteering or contributing.

Polis Campaign Headquarters

On September 23rd, the Polis for Congress campaign opened its doors to the public, featuring food, fun, Green Tours, and the candidate himself behind the grill. The campaign is going to great lengths to ensure that the office is zero-waste, and 100% wind powered. In addition, the campaign is enrolled in the City of Boulder’s Building Performance Program to address the energy consumption of the office building and to help work towards LEED certification.

The Polis Campaign is teaming up with Eco-Cycle to make headquarters a zero-waste facility and Clean and Green for the wind power efforts.

More information on Clean and Green and Eco-Cycle can be found at their websites, CleanAndGreen.us and EcoCycle.com.

Not One More Dollar

Jared Polis announced his firm opposition to any congressional funding for the Iraq War that is not directly tied to a firm schedule for withdrawal. “I have always been against the war and I have protested this unjust war since the beginning,” noted Polis. “In Congress, I will not vote for one more dollar in funding for the war until and unless it is tied to a firm and enforceable deadline.”
